IMAGE SERVICEMEN OF THE NATIONAL GUARD OF UKRAINE: BASIC ELEMENTS AND PROCESS OF FORMATION

Abstract

The article is devoted to the study of the image servicemen of the National Guard of Ukraine (NGU). On the basis of our own research, namely studying and comparing the real, ideal and reflected types of image servicemen of the NGU, described according to the assessments of the servicemen themselves, studying and comparing the retrospective, real and ideal types of military image described by the estimates of the civilian population, their positive and negative subtypes provided during the period Euromaidan and during the period of the antiterrorist operation in eastern Ukraine / united forces operation made it possible to define and substantiate the contents of the structural elements of the image servicemen of the NGU, to identify the features and mechanisms the process of its formation. Thus, the first source of a favourable image servicemen of the NGU is his immediate personal characteristics and his corresponding level of development (first of all, strong personality, attitude to professional duty, to people, professional and social norms, ability to control own emotional manifestations, tactical, and political independence) as well as professional and social competence. An effective and purposeful effort to create a favourable image for servicemen of the NGU should be organized taking into account the basic substantive elements of the image, and also take into account the specific purpose of the image in the form of an ideal representation of the results this type of activity, and it is obligatory to take into account the specific features and mechanisms of the actual process of forming the image servicemen of the NGU. In fact, a favorable image in modern realities is a necessary component of the development of any organization. The NGU is not the exception.
