PROFESSIONAL DEFORMATION OF CRIMINAL AND EXECUTIVE SYSTEM EMPLOYEES

The article deals with the professional deformation problem of penitentiary staff, which is the subject of an actively developing science called penitentiary psychology. The factors of professional deformation of law enforcement officers and executive agencies are outlined. General occupational deformities and approaches to their study are highlighted. A complex of psychodiagnostic tools for studying the peculiarities of the professional deformation of penitentiary staff is proposed. It is proved that penitentiaries have a high level of communication control, hostility (suspicion and insults) and an aggression index (irritability, physical and verbal aggression). Employees of other fields of activity have the same indicators. Perceptions about work cognitive are differ in awareness, at the emotional level – in positive attitude to work, at the behavioral level – in the need for work. The professional and moral deformation of the executive institutions employees is a systemic personality crisis, which is related to the influence of external and internal factors, overcoming of which should be the purpose to develop correctiverecovery programs both prevention and overcoming of the mentioned problem. It is proved that professional deformation is a complex phenomenon that affects all areas of employee’s activity (work, family, etc.). It occurs during the performance of professional activities and has a negative impact on the performance of staff duties. It is possible to effectively prevent this phenomenon in the penitentiary system, taking into account the factors that lead to the emergence of professional deformation and prevent its development. The research is positive and can be used to develop recommendations for penitentiary employees. They have to change their style of interaction with their colleagues at work and with other people in order to avoid the destructive influence of professional and moral deformation.
