The article addresses the pressing issue of selecting and training officers for the educational security service of the National Police of Ukraine. In the context of growing threats to the educational environment, including physical, informational, and cyber risks, there is an urgent need to develop effective approaches to forming a workforce capable of ensuring the safe functioning of educational institutions. Key requirements for the professional competencies of candidates are substantiated, which include not only legal and pedagogical knowledge but also the ability to respond promptly to crisis situations, work effectively with children and youth, and demonstrate a high level of emotional resilience and ethics. Emphasis is placed on the necessity of continually improving officer training methods, integrating modern educational technologies, and providing practical training based on simulation methods and real-world case studies. The study explores the major challenges faced during the training of personnel, including insufficient resource provision, the lack of unified training standards, and the absence of interagency coordination between educational institutions, police, and civil society organizations. The necessity of creating specialized training programs that reflect current trends in educational security development is analyzed, along with proposed mechanisms for implementing such programs at the national level. Special attention is given to the importance of establishing a systemic approach to security that encompasses physical, informational, and psychological dimensions. As a result of the research, it was determined that to ensure the effective performance of officers in the field of educational security, it is necessary to modernize approaches to their professional development, introduce comprehensive training combining academic knowledge with practical skills, and focus on the enhancement of soft skills such as communication, adaptability, and conflict resolution. The recommendations provided in the study could serve as a foundation for improving the training system for National Police personnel in Ukraine, considering contemporary challenges.
